Infatti, accanto ai farmaci biotecnologici, la ricerca si sta indirizzando soprattutto verso la terapia genica e CAR-T e verso tecniche di RNA messaggero per lo sviluppo di nuovi farmaci in campo oncologico, ma anche per il trattamento di tante altre patologie come la fibrosi cistica e la cardiopatia ischemica. Questa "nuova primavera" avrà senz'altro importanti ricadute anche nel modo di fare didattica e di insegnare, accostando sempre di più le conoscenze della patogenesi delle malattie alla capacità di avere a disposizione e utilizzare farmaci sempre più appropriati e personalizzati in base alle caratteristiche dei pazienti.
