Lo studio invasivo dell’emodinamica costituisce le basi della comprensione della fisiologia cardiovascolare negli stati di salute e nei processi patologici. Tuttavia, l’attuale espansione del campo della cardiologia interventistica strutturale ha portato a un rinnovato interesse nell’emodinamica, dal momento che alcuni dei suoi principi e delle pratiche, spesso dimenticati, sono di enorme importanza durante questo tipo di procedure.
