A brevi note sull'anatomia e fisiologia del Sistema vestibolare, segue la descrizione delle caratteristiche semeiologiche delle lesioni otoneurologiche e delle indagini cliniche che vengono eseguite sul paziente per una corretta valutazione diagnostica. Nel secondo e terzo Capitolo sono descritti i principali quadri clinici otoneurologici d'origine periferica e centrale. La numerosa casistica, corredata da referti elettronistagmografici e neuroradiologici appartiene al Servizio di Otoneurologia della Clinica ORL di Padova, che ho diretto per oltre trent'anni.
