È, insomma, un perfetto ritratto del suo autore. Prendiamo, ad esempio, i titoli di alcuni capitoli. Cap. 6 - Ma che c’entra la storica stretta di mano della pace di Oslo,con l’equilibrio acido-base? Ricordiamo che si sta trattando di uno dei capitoli più ostici di tutta la medicina: quello dell’equilibrio acido-base, dominato dal concetto di pH che è «L’inverso della concentrazione degli ioni idrogeno espresso sotto forma del suo logaritmo». Quel logaritmo a Sgambato non va proprio giù e dimostrerà in questo suo libro che se ne può fare a meno.
