La caccia è una pratica che si perde nella notte dei tempi, le cui origini risalgono addirittura tra i 2 e i 3 milioni di anni fa. Con il passare dei secoli, però, la sua funzione è cambiata: da mezzo di sostentamento necessario a "disciplina sportiva" o passatempo. Si è creata così una netta divisione: ferventi sostenitori da una parte, accaniti avversari dall'altra.
