Si tratta in definitiva di un periodo che comprende la porzione più estesa e omogenea della sua vasta opera scientifica, appunto quella che lo ha reso universalmente noto tra gli psichiatri e anche fuori dell'ambito della psichiatria. Essa si identifica con l'affermarsi e il progressivo enunciarsi del suo metodo d'indagine, ch'egli ha voluto chiamare Daseinsanalyse (analisi della presenza).
