Volume riccamente illustrato a colori di complessive 824 pagine :: Presentazione alla seconda edizione italiana, aggiornata e ampliata Nel panorama editoriale italiano la prima edizione di questo trattato è stata accolta molto favorevolmente da tutti coloro, docenti e studenti, che ne hanno apprezzato sia le descrizioni anatomiche che il ricco corredo iconografico. Per tale motivo ho accolto con grande piacere l’invito a curare la seconda edizione italiana. In questo nuovo allestimento l’opera si presenta rinnovata e arricchita in figure e approfondimenti di argomenti. La terminologia anatomica è stata vagliata in modo che fosse maggiormente rispondente alle indicazioni della Nomina Anatomica Veterinaria. Rispetto all’edizione precedente, inoltre, l’opera si presenta completata da due capitoli particolarmente utili per perfezionare il percorso di studi in Anatomia Veterinaria: quello sull’Anatomia topografica e clinica, ricco in riferimenti applicativi per l’esercizio della professione di Veterinario, e quello sulle Tecniche di acquisizione e di analisi di immagine in Anatomia, che rende l’Anatomia veterinaria una scienza moderna, proiettata al futuro e di fondamentale importanza in campo diagnostico. Pertanto, questa edizione dell’opera ha il grande pregio di non relegare l’Anatomia veterinaria tra le materie più legate al passato che al presente ma, al contrario, di renderla attuale e strettamente in rapporto con le materie professionalizzanti. Un ringraziamento è rivolto a tutti i colleghi che hanno segnalato miglioramenti da apportare.
