Il corso di Elettroencefalografia e Tecniche Correlate, organizzato dalla Sezione di Neurologia del Dipartimento di Neuroscienze della facoltà di Medicina e Chirurgia dell'Ateneo Pisano in collaborazione con la Società Italiana di Neurofisiologia Clinica (SINC) e l'Associazione Italiana Tecnici di Neurofisiopatologia (AITN), e tenuto ogni anno a San Miniato, ha lo scopo di fornire una preparazione di base di tipo teorico-pratico nel campo della elettroencefalografia e di tutte le principali metodologie diagnostiche della neurofisiopatologia per gli operatori sanitari nell'ambito delle neuroscienze. Una delle principali caratteristiche dell'evento, oltre alla didattica pratica ed alle esercitazioni interattive con tutori, è rappresentata dalle lezioni di tipo frontale tenute da illustri ricercatori e da eminenti personalità nella disciplina, in modo da consentire ai partecipanti una "full immersion" per aggiornare le loro conoscenze nei diversi settori della disciplina e fornire una revisione dei più recenti avanzamenti.

The diagnostic use of clinical neurophysiology is key to almost all practices of neurology, and all neurology departments (hospitals, clinics, academic depts., group practices) conduct these studies.
