Emergencies in Anaesthesia
a cura di Andrew McIndoe, Alastair Martin
editore: Oxford University Press
pagine: 592
The third edition of Emergencies in Anaesthesia is a practical, accessible guide to all emergency situations encountered during, and immediately following, anaesthesia. Re-structured to follow the ABCDE emergency approach, this handbook guides the clinician through what to do and when, in a format that can be used rapidly. In each chapter, topics are ordered alphabetically for ease of navigation and management is presented in a checklist format. Symbols are
used to indicate clinical severity ranging from life-threatening to minor, and the book includes drug dosages, infusion regimes, and key algorithms for quick reference. Reflecting best practice, the third edition includes new frameworks for emergency management and new material on human factors.
QBase Anaesthesia: Volume 5, of the American Political Science Association

Another title in GMM's highly successful QBase series, this time focusing on the Final FRCA (Fellowship of the Royal College of Anaesthetists) with sets of examination papers the candidate can use to revise and practise their MCQ technique. As always, the self-learning experience is greatly enhanced by the free CD-ROM containing the QBase examination software. This powerful program allows the user to sit the pre-set exams as printed in the book, or to create their own exams using questions drawn from the total pool available on the CD-ROM. The program can either generate these exams randomly (maintaining the same proportions of each subject as the 'pre-set' exams), or the user can select any number of questions in any subject area, to create their very own exam.
